Leadership Medina County Unveils Renewed Mission, Vision and Values
Updated framework reflects organization’s commitment to developing leaders and creating lasting impact throughout Medina County.
MEDINA, Ohio — October 2026 — Leadership Medina County (LMC) has unveiled a renewed mission, vision and set of organizational values designed to guide its work developing, connecting and inspiring leaders throughout Medina County.
For more than three decades, Leadership Medina County has brought together individuals from businesses, nonprofits, education, government and other sectors to strengthen their leadership skills, better understand the community and build relationships that lead to meaningful action.
The organization’s renewed mission captures that purpose in a clear statement:
Learning, leading, and collaborating for a thriving Medina County community.
The mission is supported by a new vision for the organization’s future:
Where Medina County leaders develop their potential to transform our community and create lasting impact.
Together, the mission and vision reinforce LMC’s role not only as a leadership development organization, but also as a connector of people, organizations and ideas throughout Medina County.
“We are proud to unveil the renewed mission, vision and values for Leadership Medina County,” said Kelly Smith, Board President of Leadership Medina County. “We believe these reflect both our history and our aspirations as an organization for the future. These principles provide a clear, shared foundation for how we will develop informed, connected and purpose-driven leaders who strengthen our county.”
Four core values will help guide LMC’s programs, partnerships and decisions moving forward:
Collaboration - Building strong partnerships and connections to achieve shared goals.
Community Impact - Creating positive and lasting change throughout Medina County.
Growth - Encouraging continuous learning, development and improvement.
Integrity - Acting with honesty, accountability and ethical leadership.
Founded in 1991, Leadership Medina County was created around the belief that the future of the county depends on knowledgeable, connected and engaged leaders. That philosophy continues today through leadership development, civic engagement and experiential learning opportunities that bring people together from across the county.
LMC programs provide opportunities for leaders at different stages of their personal and professional development, including the organization’s Signature Class and Junior Leadership program, along with professional development and organizational training opportunities. Participants build leadership skills while gaining a deeper understanding of Medina County, its people, organizations, opportunities and challenges.
The renewed mission, vision and values provide a common foundation across those efforts and establish a framework for LMC’s continued evolution.
As Leadership Medina County looks toward the future, the organization will continue to focus on creating opportunities for people to learn from one another, develop meaningful relationships and use their leadership abilities to make a difference.
