Signature Class of 2027: Agriculture Day and Quality of Life Day

The Leadership Medina County Signature Class of 2027 recently experienced two incredible class days, gaining a deeper appreciation for the people, businesses, organizations, and natural resources that make Medina County such a special place to live, work, and play!
Agriculture Day offered a firsthand look at the county’s rich agricultural heritage and the innovation shaping its future. The class began at the Medina County Fairgrounds, learning about the Medina County Fair and the impact of 4-H. Visits to Boyert Show Cattle, Boyert’s Greenhouse & Farm, and Geig’s Orchard highlighted the dedication of local farming families. The day concluded at Rupp-Dale Farm, where participants witnessed an impressive rotary milking system and learned how technology is transforming modern dairy farming.
Environment & Quality of Life Day showcased the many resources and organizations that enrich our community. The day began at the Medina County District Library, where participants explored the Digital Lab, Makerspace, and Reference Department. At the Lodge at Allardale, the class heard from ORMACO, Access the Arts, the Medina County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Medina Creative Unlimited. Visits to Weymouth Farms & Orchard and Berry’s Blooms highlighted the history and passion behind local businesses. The day concluded at Oenslager Nature Center, where Jeff Hollard discussed conservation and land use, and Nate Eppink shared insights into the Medina County Park District and its beautiful parks.
Both class days provided meaningful opportunities to connect with community leaders, explore local businesses, and gain a greater understanding of the industries and organizations that contribute to Medina County’s success.
A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors as well as our dedicated committee members, knowledgeable speakers, and gracious hosts who made these experiences possible!
These experiences continue to inspire our Signature Class of 2027 to learn, lead, and make a lasting impact in Medina County.
