Education Day

The Legacy 35 Class — our 35th Signature Class — went back to school for Education Day!

It was a fantastic day thoughtfully planned by some of Medina County’s incredible leaders in education. We began at Buckeye High School, where Superintendent Jeff Stanton welcomed us with a warm, delicious breakfast before guiding us through their campus and introducing us to Buckeye’s outstanding leadership team, who taught us more about their worlds:

• John Justice, Operations Director

• Mark Donnelly, Treasurer



Next stop: The Medina County Career Center Café, where Chef Tony’s students treated us to an exceptional meal — Chicken Rockefeller, carrots, mashed potatoes, and espresso cheesecake (clean plates all around!).

After lunch, Principal Jeff Hicks and Career Center leaders (including classmates Darlene and Patrick!) led tours that completely exceeded our expectations and showcased the incredible opportunities available to local students.

We enjoyed a snack sponsored by Tri-C Brunswick while learning more about the Medina County Educational Service Center from Superintendent Bob Hlasko, and about school funding from Cloverleaf Superintendent Dr. Daryl Kubilus.

We closed out the day with a powerful conversation with county superintendents on the pressing challenges and realities facing education today. Special thanks to:
