Junior Leadership Class of 2026:
Government and Safety Forces Day

February’s class day took our Juniors behind the scenes of Medina County’s justice system — and it started with a little constructive chaos. An interactive challenge at the Juvenile Detention Center tested communication, clarity, and patience, giving students a hands-on lesson in leadership, teamwork, and empathy.
February’s class day dove deep into local government and safety forces. Judge Dunn shared his career journey, the day-to-day of the courtroom, and how emotional intelligence guides decision-making. Students toured the Juvenile Detention Center, experiencing firsthand how the juvenile justice system operates.
In the afternoon, the class visited the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, exploring the 911 call center, detectives’ office, jail, and even getting a behind-the-scenes look at SWAT operations. Sheriff Grice offered insights into leadership, teamwork, and how the office keeps the county safe.
From insight into the courtroom to corrections to public safety, our Juniors gained a full picture of leadership in action!
Next stop: Agriculture Day!
