LEAD Institute:
Class of 2026 Closing Retreat

The Leadership Medina County LEAD Institute Closing Retreat was a powerful reflection of growth, courage, and leadership in action. Over the past nine months, the 26 members of the Greene Legacy Cohort have challenged themselves to think differently, lead intentionally, and step outside their comfort zones, and their final presentations showcased just how far they’ve come.

Throughout the retreat, participants shared progress on their adaptive challenges and how they applied the tools and frameworks learned through the program to create meaningful movement forward. Common themes emerged across the presentations: applying Your Leadership Edge competencies, building trustworthy processes, diagnosing situations more effectively, making intentional observations, acting experimentally, and learning when and how to “raise the heat” as leaders. Many also reflected on how they leaned into their Top 5 CliftonStrengths, DISC styles, Conflict Management, and Emotional Intelligence to grow both personally and professionally.

The day also reinforced one of the most valuable parts of the LEAD experience: Connection. Participants appreciated the opportunity to network and learn from one another across industries and perspectives.

As Lisa Sipsock shared:

“The LEAD Institute was a great experience. I learned a lot about personalities and behaviors to help create harmony across teams. The opportunity to network and build relationships with peers across varying industries was excellent as well.”

And Dave Wyatt reflected:

“The LMC LEAD Class, the Greene Legacy Cohort, didn’t just go through a program — we were challenged, stretched, and pushed in positive ways that will stick with us long after this ends.”
