Junior Leadership Class of 2026:
Money and Manners Day

Our Junior Leaders recently spent a full day developing practical skills and enhancing their professional awareness during Money & Manners Day. Students explored the essentials of personal finance, including credit, debit, and savings, gaining knowledge that will serve them well now and in the future. They also received a firsthand look at the daily responsibilities of police officers at the Montville Police Department, learning about law enforcement procedures, safety practices, and the teamwork that keeps communities running smoothly.
This month, our Junior Leaders dove into the world of personal finance, professional etiquette, and public safety during Money & Manners Day. Students got hands-on experience with the basics of money management—credit, debit, and savings—learning tips that will serve them well now and in the future.
They also stepped into the shoes of law enforcement at the Montville Police Department, discovering the day-to-day work of officers and the teamwork required to keep our communities safe. From safety procedures to real-world problem solving, students got a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to serve and protect.
At Blue Heron Brewery & Event Center, students put manners into practice over lunch. From mastering proper silverware use to navigating polite small talk, they learned that leadership isn’t just about knowledge—it’s also about how you carry yourself and connect with others.
By combining financial skills, law enforcement insight, and table etiquette, Money & Manners Day gave Junior Leaders practical tools to lead confidently and professionally. A huge thank-you to Westfield Bank, a division of First Financial Bank, for sponsoring our lunch and making this engaging experience possible!
