Clay Slattery '27 is excited to share that The Society has already broken ground and are currently in the construction phase of these homes; providing safe, modern, and accessible living environments for the individuals we are privileged to serve. Funds raised help support the furnishing and long-term sustainability of these homes.

LEAD Institute Class of 2024 'Our Leadership Era'

Skylar Serban '24 is excited to announce that in August, she opened a local Medina business called The Sensory Sanctuary, a space dedicated to promoting emotional wellness through gentle touch techniques. I am grateful for the support and leadership provided by Medina, which gave me the confidence to undertake this significant venture.

Signature Class of 2019, The Difference Makers

Amber Jerkins '19 is thrilled to announce that she officially accepted an offer with the Wayne County Board of DD today as a Service and Support Administrator. 

Signature Class of 2018, Self Driven Class

Aaron Sabe '18 - "We’re off to a great start this school year at Medina City Schools, and I’m excited to share the direction we’re taking. Building on the strategic planning process we completed last year, we’re bringing our district motto, “Preparing Every Bee to Learn, Lead, Thrive,” to life in our schools.

For us, that means helping students build strong academic skills, giving them opportunities to lead, and creating school environments where they feel connected and supported. One example is our Career Pathways work at Medina High School, which focuses on helping students connect their learning with possibilities for their future.

We’re also continuing to plan for middle school reconfiguration, with opportunities for staff and community input as that work moves forward. Keeping people informed and involved is an important part of the process.

Beyond the district, I serve on the Alliance Executive Board, where I help advocate for public education in Columbus. That work is an opportunity to bring the needs of our students, schools, and community into conversations about decisions at the state level.

As superintendent, I’m grateful for the teachers, staff, families, and community partners who make this work possible. It’s exciting to see our planning take shape around a shared purpose: helping every student learn, lead, and thrive."

Signature Class of 2022, The Phoenix Class

Stephanie Mueller '22 is dlighted to share that she launched Lights of Hope Medina in 2025, raising more than $5,500 in its inaugural year. In 2026, she assembled a committee and grew the event to an incredible $18,520 for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN). Her fundraising efforts earned her induction into the ACS CAN Hall of Fame. She also recently traveled to Washington, D.C., for ACS CAN’s Leadership Summit & Lobby Day, meeting with members of Congress and their staff to advocate for cancer patients and survivors.

Signature Class of 2013, The Visionary Class

Rick Dumperth ' 13 is pleased to announce that he is the Republican Candidate for Medina County Auditor on the ballot in the upcoming November 3rd General Election.
