Kathy Breitenbucher, MedinaCounty Economic Development Corporation, has been appointed to the board of theMinority Business Assistance Center (MBAC). The MBAC supports businesses ownedby minorities, disabled, veterans, and women and help with certification,contact procurement, and other support services to help these businessflourish.

’15 The BridgeBuilders Class

Melanie Kasten-Krause, SHC/The Arc of Medina County, was nominated for the 2019 Serve Ohio Award!The Ohio Commission on Service & Volunteerism recognized those making adifference through volunteerism in Ohio. Melanie not only is a passionateadvocate for SHC, Medina County, but the entire state serving on many nonprofit boards, including the Ohio Provider Resource Association Ohio ProviderResource Association.

’16 Silver Jubilee

Shelly Wharton, SHC/TheArc of Medina County, received the Medina County Health Department’s 2018Volunteer Award for her service to the Medina County Medical Reserves Corps.Her dedication to working with our nursing team makes a difference in MedinaCounty.

Deborah Boehmke, accepteda new position at Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities as theirEconomic Developer .

’19 The DifferenceMakers

Jessica Hazeltine, receivedher CDCA license- Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant. This license isobtained through the state of Ohio Chemical Dependency Board and will allow herto perform treatment planning, assessment, crisis intervention, individual andgroup counseling, case management, and education services as they relate toabuse of or dependency on alcohol and other drugs. It also allows her to referindividuals with non-chemical dependency conditions to appropriate sources ofhelp.
