’09 A Class Act
Janie Parish,
Wadsworth Area Chamber of Commerce, this summer, the Wadsworth Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an intern from Ashland University, Colin Williams. Colin is the son of Jim Williams, Westfield Bank, Class of 2015. Colin is a senior at Ashland University, majoring in finance and economic development.
’10 The Social Class
Mike Kovack,
Medina County Auditor, is a recipient of the “Distinguished County Auditor” award, presented by the County Auditors’ Association of Ohio (CAAO). The award recognizes county auditors who have completed 100 or more hours of continuing education during their term of office. He was recognized and received the award from CAAO President Logan County Auditor Michael Yoder, during the recent CAAO Summer Conference. In recognizing this achievement, the CAAO notes, that when you consider the time commitments on county auditors in general, it is truly an accomplishment for a county auditor to have over 100 hours of credit.
’17 The Collaborators
Rebecca Byrne,
Montville Police Department, was the proud recipient of a $9679.34 donation from 100+ Women Who Care Medina for the Medina County Police Activities League (MCPAL) Program. Rebecca, MCPAL Program Director, presented to approximately 90 members of 100+ Women Who Care at the April meeting and was chosen that night to receive the donation. The big check was presented during the MCPAL program at Blake Elementary on Thursday, May 11th.

Sandra Sammon
, SHC/The Arc of Medina, will be hosting an Evening in Paradise on July 20th from 6pm-10pm at The Oaks Lakeside Restaurant, 5878 Longacre Lane Chippewa Lake, OH 44215 with live music by the Swizzle Stick Band. Reservations are only $50 per person and include dinner and entertainment. They will also be hosting their 5th Annual Golf Outing on August 7 at Medina Country Club. $135 registration includes golf, games, lunch, dinner and a whole lot of fun. Registration starts at 10am with a shotgun start at 11am. All proceeds will benefit SHC’s Camp Paradise.
