Agriculture Day 2021
What was your aha moment? (Click a photo to scroll through the gallery.)
Besides everything……..the young generations working smarter and not harder like their families had to do for generations with new technology on the farm such as the robotic milking and the computer program that tracks everything. The Boyert sons with their fresh ideas too. The chef that raises his own meat to bring to his new restaurant. The whole day was fantastic! – Becky
There are so many things I loved about the day. Learning about the show/breeding industry for cattle and the goals of younger farmers to make their name in the business. I enjoyed the stories of Regenerative Farmer and why he started based on his mother’s health and finding fuel for her that may decrease the impact of cancer. In addition, Chef Brown’s pursuit to raise hogs using the mind of a chef and the focus on the final product based on what he wants when cooking. His knowledge about feed and the overall care was so impressive. I enjoyed learning about the Maple Syrup and the generations of the family that have perfected the process through intense filtration and tweaks in equipment along the way. The Boyert family were so welcoming and their story on how their business has grown and the principles they follow were a great lesson for us all. Oh, and the food…was delicious! It was such a great day! – Kristy
