The Leadership Medina County Program
Our program is designed to produce well-informed, connected leaders motivated to work together to improve the quality life in Medina County.

+Class of 40 adults from around the county is selected to participate
+Program is 9 month long with 10 topic day sessions
+Sessions explore the challenges and opportunities facing Medina County
+Leadership strengthened through personal leadership skill development and a class service project.

Criteria for Selection
The applicant must either live or work in Medina County but does not have to be nominated by alumni.
Selection is based on:
~Demonstrated leadership potential in community and/or professional activities.
~Answer to an essay question from the application
~Applicants career choice, background, past activities, interests, gender and geographic location
~References

Selection Process
A committee of alumni and board members selects the class from written applications based on clear cut criteria.
Selection provides a mix of backgrounds and points of view reflective of Medina County.
Applications can be requested by interested individuals or nominations by others.
Not everyone is accepted. Due to a limited class size of 40 some are asked to reapply the following year.

Attendance
Class members are required to participate fully in the class retreat and the class topic days with two excused absences.

Tuition
Tuition of $1,600.00 for the program is due after acceptance.
Each participant is expected to pay 10% of the tuition amount. The employer, sponsoring organization or the individual may pay the balance.
Tuition assistance and payment plans are available. Once accepted into the class no one is turned away due to lack of funds

Application
Applications must be completed, signed and mailed or faxed to the office and will be accepted through April 30, 2009.
