Launching into his presentation Mike explained that the components of A-L-E were Attitude, Leadership and Execution and went on to clarify that Leadership is the bridge over Adversity that connects Attitude with Execution. The audience of 160+ were LMC alumni and those interested in becoming part of LMC.

Mike discussed his experience meeting with President Obama during the President’s visit to Cleveland State University earlier this year. Mike was invited as a representative of the Greater Medina Chamber of Commerce and the private sector. He encouraged the audience to get involved in the political process.

|
After discussing the qualities necessary to become a leader, Mike stressed his belief in the importance of mentors. He believes that it is never too late to find a mentor or to become one. While citing several world, national and local leaders, and their inspiration to him personally, he paid special tribute to former Medina City mayor Jane Leaver, who was in attendance.

|
Besides hearing about leadership from a proven leaders, this event was an opportunity for potential class members to discuss the Leadership Medina County program with alumni and trustees.
