On a much grander scale, the Board of Trustees just completed a half-day Visioning Session to ‘visualize’ the future of LMC as its 25th anniversary approaches. Led by an outside consultant, together the Board reviewed past Strategic & Business Plans, the alumni survey, and current leadership trends to put in motion a new forward-thinking strategic plan.

Like the name of my ’07 Class (the “Inspired Class”), I felt inspired by the dynamic Board behind LMC and their commitment to continue to grow LMC through new program offerings, more alumni engagement opportunities, and increasing the awareness of LMC throughout Medina County ~all while continuing to promote the core class day program which consistently gets high marks from class members.

As I prepared to take on my new role as Board President at LMC, I led a committee of Trustees through a review of LMC’s Code of Regulations – sounds boring – not so! Through the process, I learned about the array of alumni giving back to LMC through service on various committees. It will be with the assistance of the vast array of alumni willing to give of their time and efforts that the “vision” and strategic plan will become a reality.
