Barbara Dzur Gerspacher Real Estate Group, is serving on the Fundraising Committee of The Western Reserve Masonic Community, working to build a new dementia care unit and research facility on their grounds.

Sandy Calvert, Feeding Medina County, has been named as Executive Director of this new non-profit organization that was originally formed under Cornerstone Wellness, Inc. and the Feeding Medina County Initiative.  Sandy was also nominated to Chair of the Ohio Department of Aging Advisory Council, beginning in January 2012.

Jim Shields, Medina City Schools, is running for Medina City Council in the November 8 election

Kieran O’Rourke, National Interstate Insurance, is running for Seville Board of Public Affairs in the November 8 election.

Nancy Abbott, Medina Municipal Court, is running for Medina Municipal Court Clerk in the November 8 election.

Joyce Giles, Medina County Home, has accepted a new position as Director of the County Home after serving as the Executive Director of the Medina County Office for Older Adults.

Karen Hammon, Monte Ahuja College of Business, CSU, welcomed new grandson, Evan Wiles, on September 22.  Evan weighed 8 lbs. and joins four year old brother Jake.

Quentin Tifft, Clinical Research Management, Inc.,(Clinical RM) a full service Contract Research Organization providing services for basic and applied research, clinical trials, and regulatory support, recently announced  it was awarded two contracts by the Navy Medical Research Center under its Omnibus III program.  Navy Medicine provides high quality, economical health care to beneficiaries in wartime and in peacetime.

Lori Hogue, Medina County Schools’ Educational Service Center, welcomed granddaughter Saige  on September 26.  The baby weighed 8 lbs, 7 oz.

 

Chuck Ricco, Parma City Hospital, is running for Brunswick City Council in the November 8 election.

 

Gary Wright, Baird Wealth Management, has been appointed to Baird’s exclusive Qualified Plan Consulting Group.  This group is reserved for less that 5% of Baird’s 700 Advisors and allows Gary to serve as an Independent Consultant in helping companies with their Fiduciary Management responsibilities.  Gary has also successfully completed his certification as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. He is also serving on the Fundraising Committee of The Western Reserve Masonic Community, working to build a new dementia care unit and research facility on their grounds.

 

Mike Kovack, Medina County Auditor, has been named as a finalist in Crain’s CFO of the Year Awards.

Susan Hanlon, University of Akron, is running for Council-at-Large for the City of Wadsworth in the November 8 election
