The Golf Planning committee co-chaired by Dr. Mark Stubbendieck’02 and Mike Warner’05 with help from Kris Hawk’08, Jan Coleman,’02, Hub Marquis’97, Gary Walters’04, and Brian Fisher’05, take credit for the perfect weather—after taking the blame for a few years of bad weather.

There were 3 teams with a winning score of 61. A “score card” play off resulted in:
First place: Farrell-Whited Physical Therapy Team with Jason Graf, ’09, Bob Zufra Sr., Todd Zufra and Bob Zufra, Jr.
Second place: Coleman-Stubbendieck Team with class members Jan Coleman, ’02, Dr. Mark Stubbendieck, ’02, Jerry Fiume, ’02 and Chris Weight, ’09.
Third place: Wichert Insurance Team with Travis Jordan, Chris Coleman, John Uber and Don Hurrle, Jr.’08, pictured at left.

Winning the skills game were:
Closest to the pin (men, women) was won by Russ Gregory, and Jan Coleman,’02
Proximity was won by John Uber.
Longest drive by (men, women) Chris Weight., 09 and Jeanette Berger, ’10.
Each received a box of ProV1s or Nxt balls.
There was an opportunity to win a prize via Fantasy Golf, if the Weymouth Course didn't cooperate. Andy Waite,10 and Craig Hassinger,’01 won restaurant gift certificates (the Oaks, Sully’s and Corkscrew) with scores of 72 each. Morgan Faunce’98 won a Yours Truly Restaurant gift certificate for the Sponsor Quiz.

There were five lucky winners from the raffle prize drawings:

The Weymouth Country Club Golf Foursome was won by Jan Coleman,

The coveted Class Spirit Award goes to the Leadership Medina County class with the most number of classmates golfing, volunteering or dining. This year "That" Class of 2008 and the Social Class of 2010 tied for this award. It was noted that both of these classes took an early excursion down to Columbus the evening before their respective last class, State Government Day.

Actually everyone is a winner. All proceeds go to insure quality programming and tuition assistance for the upcoming Class of 2011, enabling Leadership Medina County to build leadership capacity for a better Medina County, through education, connectivity and involvement.
