LMC Inducted Into Hall of Fame

| Cary Blair, the founding President of the Board of Leadership Medina County and retired President/CEO of Westfield Group, graciously accepted the award from Chamber CEO Debra Lynn-Schmitz on behalf of the LMC Alumni and the past and present board members. |

In his remarks Cary recalled the day 19 years ago when Gene Morris, then Executive Director of the Medina Chamber and David Jones, President of Old Phoenix/FirstMerit Bank came into his office and convinced him that Leadership Medina County would be of great benefit to the county AND he was the perfect person to make it happen. Cary with guidance from the first Board of Trustees hired Elaine Reichart as the first Executive Director. Next, the Charter Class of business leaders and nonprofit executives was assembled while the board and Elaine set to structure the original nine class topic days that the class would experience That original framework set in 1991-92 has proven flexible enough to incorporate new trends, new ideas and new challenges preparing each new LMC class to be leaders in the community. |
| LMC Aumni Jim Gerspacher of Gerspacher Realty Group Inc. was also inducted into the Hall of Fame, along with Bert Humpel, PM Jones, Willard Stephenson and Harold K. Thoburn. |
