November is a time of Thanksgiving…a time to take a moment and look around to see all the blessings in your life.  As I counted the things in my life I’m thankful for, I stopped to think of my charitable endeavors, too.  I’m continually amazed (& thankful for) all the wonderful volunteers who are part of the heart of LMC.  I took a moment to recap some of the recent volunteer activities at LMC.

As thoughts turn to the upcoming holiday season, and calendars begin to fill up, you won’t want to miss the LMC Holiday Social on December 7.  Meet the newest Class of 2012, catch up with your classmates and friends, win baskets and more.
 
Local Government Expo, December 14
For the past few years local government agencies have held an “expo” for the current leadership class and also for LMC Alumni and guests.  If you haven't attend, do so on December 14,  8:00 to 10:00 am at community center building at the Medina Co. Fairgrounds. Details.
 
JrLMC: Sharing the Story
We learn many different ways.  We learn best through multiple, diverse exposures to the information we desire to learn. For some of us, it first comes from reading the words.  For others, it is from an observation.  Yet others learn from an experience.  Learn more.
 
The "Long View" on Class 2012 Business Day
   Class 2012  member Gretchen Long shares her views about their  class day:  Every day we drive past the large industrial buildings throughout the county; we may glance at the names on the signs ... never knowing that what's inside many of those buildings is fascinating. So intriguing, I personally felt as though we were inside an episode of "How I Made My Millions" on CNBC.  Read.
 
Medina Health Ministry Wowed the Crowd
With a budget of approximately $50,000, Medina Health Ministry was able to provide an astonishing 1.3 + million dollars of medical services this past year to employed county residents who qualified.  So learned 25 LMC alumni at a recent evening Out & About. Read.
 
Company Keeps Medina County Green
Envision Waste Services and CEO, Steve Viny’11 received the Green Leader Award from  Medina County Economic Development Corporation and Westfield Bank during the  Medina County Business Awards event at the Blair Center November 7. Details
 

The Adventures of Katie Horn'92
In the mist of the Himalayan Mountains, Katie Horn,’92 and Don Woodcock were married on 9-11-11 at the  Dochula Temple in Bhutan by a Buddhist Lama.  A private ceremony with Rev. Beth McGuire,’00 officiating, and Judi Linden,’92 as photographer was held in Medina.  Congratulations to Katie and Don.
