LMC is excited to present the January 2010 Edition of the LMC E-Leading Edge to our alumni and friends.  This tool allows us to share information about LMC events and graduates more frequently than our quarterly newsletter, and it's "greener."  As always we appreciate feedback.  Please share your thoughts with Lucy Sondles at exec@leadershipmedinacounty.org or with Kathy DeLoss at admin@leadershipmedinacounty.org

LMC Alumni Take Elected Office in January
Congratulations to the many LMC Alumni who have been elected or reelected to public office. These dedicated individuals will be taking the oath of office in January. Positions range from Trustees to Mayor to School Board Members.  Read who they are.
 
The Holiday Fun
The holidays got off to an early start for those attending the Holiday Social December 2..  Over 150 alumni reconnected with class members and met new acquaintances.  Treasurer John Burke Cl '96 played the keyboard and later Joe McNeill Cl '08, DJ with Big Ear Entertainment, provide more holiday tunes.  Three gift baskets were raffled off to lucky winners.   The Planning Committee, chaired by Diana Riley Cl '05 of RPM International Inc. knew it was a success when alumni lingered way past the ending time.  View pictures of the basket winners in the photo gallery Then read the full story.
 
An Easy New Year's Resolution
 If you haven't made it to a Breakfast Out & About, plan to change that on January 27 and visit Pinnacle Sports.  Owner Earl Staler, inspired by a national tragedy, decided to redirect his efforts toward young people.  We'll be treated to coffee and muffins, hear his story and tour the facility all before 9:00 am. Junior Leadership Students Pay It Forward
December is known as a time of giving.  How appropriate that our Jr Leadership Alumni gave back a portion of what they received through our program to their community.   These students had been chosen to participate in the Middle School Leadership Academy organized every year by the Medina County Share Cluster. The Share Cluster conducts various prevention-focused training programs throughout the year targeting Medina County youth, parents and professionals.   Read how

arcus Neiman, Cl '94, has been awarded the "2010 Distinguished Service Award" from the Ohio Music Education Association. Criteria for the award include outstanding service, teaching impact and leadership in the profession. We can only list a few of his many
accomplishments that qualified him for this award.  Congratulations!
