Upcoming Graduation of the LMC Class of 2010
 The Leadership Medina County Class of 2010 celebrate after a successful team excercise at the Opening Retreat. On May 26, Leadership Medina County will celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2010.  Join other Leadership Medina County alumni and guests to meet the 19th class of graduates and learn about the class service project.  Come to connect with other alumni, meet business leaders and help recognize six dedicated LMC trustees who will be retiring from the board.  Details
 
Excellence in Leadership Awards Nomination
Leadership Medina County is still accepting nominations for its fourth awards event, "Celebrating Excellence in Leadership."  You know many deserving  individuals who have exhibited extraordinary leadership in one of these areas:  Business Leadership, Education Leadership, Health Care Leadership, Public Service Leadership, and overall Medina County Leadership. 
Please help honor one by completing the Nomination Form and returning it to the LMC office by May 14.
 
19th Annual LMC Golf Outing
Business leaders, leadership alumni and friends enjoy the golf outing last year.
“Think golf” after the long snowy winter and mark your calendar for June 7. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a day of golf, connect with other alumni and support the Leadership Medina County and Junior Leadership Medina County programs.  Following 18 holes of golf, participants will return to the Weymouth Grand Ballroom for dinner stations,  networking, the awarding of cash prizes and a chance to take part in the much anticipated raffle.  Details
 
Moving On To Make A Difference
 Junior Ledership Medina County students share their thoughts at graduation. On April 15, Jr. Leadership Medina County graduated its seventh class of high school sophomores and juniors.  The Class of 2010 constitutes our largest to date – 39 – bringing our total number of graduates to 219.  That is a lot of potential and realized energy to send off into your world!

A Quality Partnership Close to Home

Who would have thought that it was possible to see Sandusky from Brunswick?   If you visit the Midpoint Campus Center located at 50 Pearl Road, just south of Boston Road in the Highland Square office building in Brunswick, this is a distinct possibility.  The center is located on the third floor of the building, which, on a clear day, provides a panoramic view.  Read more.
 

Life In Medina County, an April Lesson

 Giant Eagle hosted the leadership class and provided lunch with environmentally friendly items. As the Leadership Medina County class core program winds down, the April topic encouraged the class to examine what about Medina County enriches their lives.   Many moved here for the job, or the schools or the highway systems. But it’s the rural flavor and the amenities discovered along the way, that make Medina County home. Details.

CLASS NOTABLE:
Jim Gerspacher, LMC Class 1993, Greater Medina Area Chamber Hall of Fame Inductee
Congratulations to Jim Gerspacher, Gerspacher Real Estate Group, Inc. selected by the Greater Medina Area Chamber of Commerce to be one of their Hall of Fame Inductees.  Jim, a long time resident, is a successful business owner and leader in the county.  He has helped to spear head  a number of key initiatives, most recently, the Medina County University Center and the fiber optic loop.  Jim graduated from the LMC Class of 1993 has served as Leadership Medina County's President from 1997-98.  He continues to participate in LMC 's Business and Industry Day which gives him the opportunity to meet each new class.

Leadership Medina County also honored as an inductee in the Greater Medina Area Chamber Hall of Fame.  Only seven other groups have received such as honor since the inception of this Hall of Fame Event in 1979.  Congratulations of all 19 classes of Leadership Medina County alumni, 17 past presidents and founding President Cary Blair, 19 boards, past director Elaine Riechart and our many financial supporters and sponsors.  Together we are bringing our county together to work for the common good.
