Many students have benefited from Kurt's presentations during Business and Career Opportunities Day. He stresses the importance of education to provide choices for the future. He also encourages each student to be involved, encouraging them to assume leadership roles as much as possible during high school and college so they can identify their strengths and weaknesses. Kurt and his stories are a favorite!

A graduate of the LMC Class of 2007, Kurt brings his business knowledge to many boards. He currently serves on the board of Medina County Economic Development Corporation, Akron Goodwill Industries and on the Emerging Leaders Council for Team NEO. Other community involvement includes Westfield Leadership, Young ACG Cleveland and is an active member in the chambers of commerce of Medina, Brunswick and Wadsworth.

After earning an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Baldwin Wallace College and a BSBA from Bowling Green University, Kurt joined Westfield Bank in 2003. Westfield Bank is a member of Westfield Group and an affiliate of Westfield Insurance, one of the nation’s 50 largest property and casualty insurance groups serving customers in 31 states.
