Kitty worked as a flight attendant with Braniff Airlines where she was involved with charter flights transporting troops to and from Viet Nam. Later, she was the Banquet Director for the Akron City Club and then Marketing Director for the Medina County Credit Union. Her organizational skills and leadership honed on the job benefited many nonprofits as well.
She chaired her LMC Class of 1999 service project which sponsored the “Midnight Express” (the Cuyahoga Valley Christmas train experience) for first and second graders in Franklin School who’s parents couldn’t afford it.
She was most devoted to the American Red Cross of Medina County serving as a board member and chair of many fund raisers. At their recent 94th Annual Red Cross Meeting and Volunteer Recognition Dinner, Kitty was thanked by director Beth Kilchenman and everyone present for her 10 years of service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Medina County Red Cross (780 E. Smith Rd.) in her name.

Over the years this class has seen the passing of other wonderful community-minded class mates, Susan Hambley, Greg Schultz and Donald Simpson. All have left a legacy for our county.
