Transitional Living Centers, Inc., a long-term care organization for individuals with developmental disabilities in Medina County, is a family-owned and operated business, now in its third generation. Leading the company for the past thirty years, Nisi’s vision has been to educate the community about the needs and abilities of individuals with developmental disabilities. She has also fostered the dream of moving those individuals out of an institutional setting and into group homes, while developing programs to promote their abilities. In 2008, Nisi built an extensive office complex in Valley City, along with thirteen group homes and the Riverside Habilitation Center, providing daytime programming for the 96 clients residing in those homes. Nisi now works with a staff of 230, providing nationally acclaimed quality care to the clients of TLC.
