     On February 14  the Medina County Commissioners proclaimed May 1, 2011 as "The Medina County Smoke Out".  This event will be the culmination of 9 months of effort to help Medina County residents find the resources they need to quit smoking. 

     Steve Viny, Class of 2011, Chair of the one of the Leadership Medina County Class Project Teams and CEO of Envision Holdings said, "An educated community stops smoking.  By getting the right information into people's hands, they will make the right decision and improve the health and wellness of Medina County."  Bonnie Kristan, '11, committee member and Shareholder at Littler Mendelson, P.C. said, "We are thrilled to be in a position to help these organizations work together and give them another voice to share their information with smokers."

     The celebration of the efforts put forth by the committee and others involved in the effort will be May 1, 2011 on the Square in Medina.  There will be live music, entertainment and the filming of a You Tube video to commemorate the Medina County Smoke Out.
