     Wadsworth City Council recently passed a resolution  proclaimed  May 1, 2011 as "The Medina County Smoke Out."  This was sponsored by Susan Hanlon, Class of 2011 and member of council.  In February the Medina County Commissioner's passed their resolution in support and others are under consideration including  Medina City, Brunswick and Montville Township.

     Project Chair, Steve Viny, secured the square in downtown Medina May 1 to host the Smoke Out event. There will be booths with smoking cessation literature, live music, and entertainment for the family ending with the filming of a You Tube video to spread the fact that Medina County is aiming to be a no smoking county.
