’92 The Charter
Katie Horn, City of Medina, will be participating in her fourth 60 miles Breast Cancer 3-Day walk at the end of the month. Anyone wishing to contribute to the cause can go to www.the3day.org and enter her name as a participant and follow the instructions.

Laurence (Larry) Fligor, Ritzman Pharmacies, Inc., and  former member of the LMC Board of Trustees passed away on July 11.  Our condolences to his family.

’94 The Finest
Jim Clay, Westfield Insurance, Ohio Farmers Insurance Co, one of the five-member intercompany pool of Westfield Insurance, has been rated A or higher by A.M. Best ever since 1935. AM Best Company is a full-service credit rating organization serving the banking and insurance sectors, as a means of assessing the financial strength and creditworthiness of such institutions.

Debra Lynn-Schmitz, Greater Medina Chamber of Commerce, our condolences on the recent death of her mother.
 
’99 The Dynamic
Dick Indoe, Richman Farms, will be inducted into the Ohio State Fair Hall of Fame at a lunch at Rhodes Arena on July 29. Dick has been a part of the Ohio State Fair for 59 years. This year the Ohio State Fair runs from July 28—August 8.

Ed McKeon, Western Reserve Bank, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Alternative Paths, Inc.
 
Beth McGuire, Hospice of Medina County, recently made two national presentations in Cleveland to The Moyer Foundation 2010 National Bereavement Camp Conference and 14th Annual National Alliance for Grieving Children Symposium. Both dealt with utilizing outcome measurements with bereaved children.

Joe Kohmann, Westfield Bank, is moving from his position as CFO of Westfield Bank to the new position of Assistant Group Finance Leader with Westfield Group.

Debi Woodruff, Wadsworth Public Library, was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International at the Wadsworth Rotary Club’s President’s Dinner on July 1.

Westfield Bank, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer at the bank.

Janie Parish, Community Volunteer/Hospice of Medina County, our condolences on the recent death of her father.
 
Deb Wasylko, Baskets Galore, received a United States Design Patent on June 22, for a gift and packaging solution called the 360. The 360 is a round container that can be used to package gifts, promotional items, sell sheets, goodies and more. The 360 is eye catching, reusable, and allows you to leave a lasting impression on your audience.

Sharon Centner, Community Volunteer/Deputy Sheriff/Dare Officer, received the Ohio School Resource Officer of the Year Award 2010, at the Annual Ohio School Resource Officer’s Conference on June 29.

Gary Wright, Baird Wealth Management, will be teaching a non-credit Retirement and Financial Wellness Class at MCUC during the month of August.  Anyone wishing to sign up can go to the MCUC website at www.edu/mcuc.com.  The class will be held August 10, 17 and 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
