Bill Bittner, Retired Executive has volunteered almost 1000 hours of Docent work at the Palm Springs Air Museum. He serves floor duty in the Army Hanger, filling information about the planes on display.

Dan Hostettler, Medina County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and his wife Amy, welcomed their first grandchild, Izabelle Grace, on March 25.

Ron Stollar, Medina County Juvenile Detention Center, received word that the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center was recognized recently by Bryant & Stratton College as a Preferred Partner in the college’s student internship program. This partnership was formed in 2009 as an avenue for college students to learn first-hand the daily processes and operations of such a youth facility.

Donald Simpson, passed away on April 3.Early in his retirement, Don volunteered with various community service agencies. Greg Oakes, Westfield Group, has moved into the role of Regional Government Relations Director. He will be representing Westfield Group in a wide range of legislative, regulatory and public affairs issues at the state level in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Oregon.
Debra Kubena-Yatsko, Medina Metropolitan Housing Authority, was inducted into the Brunswick City Schools Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame on April 24. A most deserved honor.

Ron Hager, American Red Cross of Medina County, has accepted a promotion as a regional director with the regional offices in Akron. His new title will be “Director of Regional Standards and Metrics.”
