Coleen Rice, Medina County Health Department, just returned from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Diabetes Translation Conference where she presented a poster session on Educating People with Type 1 Diabetes about Polyglandular Autoimmune Syndrome for the Medina County Health Department. The conference brought together more than 600 participants from local, state, federal and territorial governmental agencies and private sector diabetes partners.

Paula Canterbury, Central Intermediate School, announced that Central Intermediate School of Wadsworth City Schools was awarded the “Schools to Watch” Award at the state middle level educational conference in Columbus. The award is given to middle level schools in the state and the nation that demonstrate and promote exceptional programming for adolescent students.
