So it was somewhat of a relief when Craig Rider quickly showed us we were not as different as we thought - not 38 individuals - just a bunch of dolphins, owls, beavers or foxes! While this may not be new to Leadership curriculum, it was new to many of us in the room.
Most of us were expecting to learn about leadership styles, so we enjoyed the insightful material provided by George Paidas on day 2. George presented leadership concepts in a manner that invited us to look forward to being a leader rather than reflect on our past experiences of leadership.

Perhaps most exciting was that there were no blind-folded trust exercises or pneumonic devices taught. All the group activities seemed to be new to everyone (or at least no one spoke up who knew how to complete the tasks). And while many were somewhat surprised that we had indeed managed to learn all our classmates’ names by the end of two days, we all agreed it was much more valuable to have made 38 new friends.
