His Hall of Fame induction is well deserved since Dick Indoe has been a part of the Ohio State Fair for 59 years. The Ohio State Fair Hall of Fame was created in 1976 to recognize individuals who have dedicated their time and contributed their passion to the fair, making it an annual success and premier exposition. Pictured is Dick giving a tour of his milking parlor on Agriculture Day. |
| Beyond the fair, Dick has been an integral part of the Ohio dairy industry and has guided his children and grandchildren to the farming and dairy cattle industries. In 2007 Dick was a Distinguished Service Award Recipient of the Ohio Holstein Association, where he served as president. He has been the director of the National Holstein Association, member of the Medina County Fair Board and is currently a Harrisville Township Trustee. |
| Dick Indoe, Richman Farms dairy and their maple sugaring operations have been a staple on the class agenda for the past decade. But there have been challenges. After the three barns at Richman Farms were destroyed in August 2007 by a tornado, Dick and his sons, Bill and Tom, rebuilt a state of the art dairy facility. Dick then hosted a Breakfast Out & About for alumni to tour this new operation and hear their story of resiliency and leadership. |
