Sandy Calvert, HANDS Foundation, will be the co-presenter at the All Ohio Counselors Conference scheduled for November 3-5 in Columbus. The title of her session is "Know Your ABC’s: Alcohol and Breast Cancer in the Postmenopausal Woman-Prevention Programming for Mature Women."
Jim Clay, Westfield Insurance, has been selected as the next Group Leader and Chief Executive Officer by the Westfield Group Board of Directors and will assume that position January, 2011. He has served the company for over 30 years in numerous capacities, currently as President of Westfield Insurance.

Ron Rowe and wife, Melissa Frank have welcomed new baby daughter, Gianna Marie Rowe. She was born on July 27, weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

Dale Fortner, Wadsworth City School District, the school district received an Excellent with Distinction Rating by the Ohio Department of Education. This is the highest rating given and it is the same rating the district received last year. Congratulations to Dale and his team.

Stacy Bonitz, The Philpott Rubber Company, Trinity Rose Foundation, announced that the fifth annual Trinity Rose Foundation Golf Outing is scheduled for Monday, September 20th at Weymouth Country Club. The proceeds from the outing will provide financial aid to local families dealing with childhood blindness and a research grant to help find a cure for blindness. Matter of fact, we are very lucky to live in Medina County, all of the school systems in Medina County received an Excellent Rating. Good leadership!

Thomas Sigel, T. Sigel Consulting, Sigel Press, has been named Medina Sun Person of the Week and featured in their July 29th edition. Tom has partnered with Main Street Medina for the past three years to create the World Tour of Music.
Jim Haprian, Medina County District Library, has accepted a new position as the IT Director for Cuyahoga County Public Library. His last day at MCDL will be September 7.
’10 The Social Class

Jeanette Berger, University of Akron/Medina County University Center, was recently chosen for a program called Great Lakes-Great Leaders-Emerging Leaders, through the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). This is a two year leadership program which helps selected professionals develop leadership goals and become more involved at the state/province, regional and national/international levels of the organization. This year, Jeannette was one of only two people from the Great Lakes Region, (five states plus one Canadian province) selected.
Mike Kovack, Medina County Auditor, will be running for reelection in the General Election on November 2.
