Think of all of those who were previously unknown, yet bravely stepped out of the mainstream to share the unique voice they knew was inside them. Think of all of the greatness that resulted.
Truth be told, every moment in time has had its standouts, its groundbreakers, its individuals or groups that made you a bit wide-eyed with amazement, that drew out of you both inspiration and joy.

On Saturday, September 25, 40 teenagers from across the county converged at the Medina County Career Center. Each one of them committed to stepping out of their mainstream of family, school, sports and work, and stepping into a spotlight with new faces and new opportunities to recognize and share a unique voice. Each of them has at least a glimmer of the greatness contained within.

Junior Leadership Medina County enters its eighth year of discovering the stars of tomorrow. Forty emerging voices make up our largest class. Their reflections on leadership, their encouragement of each other while tackling the Challenge Course, and their gratitude for involvement in the program are an inspiration and a joy.

Soon we take this show on the road. It’s up to us, the chart-toppers of today, to welcome, encourage and inspire each of them to reach their fullest potential.
Thank you to all of the leaders, both individuals and groups, which have already committed to being part of this year’s program. Each of us, in our unique way, is privileged to boost these young people up the charts, and we all become better for it.
