Eligibility |
| Junior Leadership Medina County (JrLMC) is open to junior and sophomore high school students who reside in Medina County. The program is designed for students who have the potential and desire to become better leaders but may not have the chance to participate in their school's leadership positions or with other groups. Students must also have and be able to maintain an acceptable grade point average since 4 sessions are held outside of school on school days. |
Application |
| In Medina County applications should be obtained from the guidance counselors in the students' schools in August. If the student attends school outside of Medina County, call the Leadership Medina County office for an application to be sent in August. The deadline for applications is mid-September with selection and the Orientation Session following later in September. Class size is limited to 40 students. Therefor not everyone can be accepted. |
Students are selected based on leadership experience in school, clubs or community actives, answers to leadership questions on the application, an interest in learning about Medina County, and a commitment to full participation in the program. If accepted, the student needs to advise his/her home school and follow the school's procedure for excused absences.

Funding and Cost |

Funding comes from many sources including the Student Responsibility Fee of $75 which is due from each student upon acceptance into the program. Other sources are grants, contributions from many Leadership Medina County alumni, friends, individuals, companies, foundations and many in-kind donations.
Because of this generous support, the true cost of tuition ($425.00 per student) is not charged. If you would like to join others and contribute to JrLMC, please click here. |
