| Who selects the Leadership Medina County class and why? |
- A committee of LMC trustees and alumni select each class based on a thorough review of the application and candidate interview.
- There are more applications received than the 40 positions open in the class
- Classes are selected to represent the diversity of the county so that many points of view are expressed
- Not everyone who applies can be accepted. They are encouraged to apply the following year

| What is the basis of selection? |
| Each class is carefully selected on the basis of leadership, service and diversity in the county. Here is an application. Therefore attention is paid to: |
- Applicant"s career, background, past activities, interests, community service, gender and geographic location
- Demonstrated interest in serving the community
- Demonstrated capacity for some level of leadership through service, professional position, awards, or nominations
- Thoughtfully written essay question
- Interview with Trustee or Selection Committee Member
- Recommendations from Leadership Medina County alumni

| Are there any other considerations? |
- Ability to make the time commitment is required with the support of the applicant's employer.
- Most class days occurr on the second Wednesday of the month from September through May.
- Both the applicant's and employer's signature are required on the application.
- The schedule for the Class of 2013 will be posted next year.
- The Opening Retreat is mandatory, class dates are provided with the application and one absence is allowed.
