Board of Trustees

Sandy Neuman, Executive Assistant for the Medina County Economic Development Corporation, currently serves as Past President of the Board of Trustees of Leadership Medina County. She was a member of the “Enterprising Class” of 2006. 

By serving on the Board of Trustees, LMC has given her the opportunity to learn more about the possibilities for greatness within the county that she was unaware of. She states, “I would like to give back in any way I can to ensure that the same opportunity continues for future LMC classes.”

LMC has enriched her life by providing exposure to many different groups and cultures; that exposure truly helped her see and think beyond the boundaries of her personal experiences/involvement. She enjoys feeling connected and in sync with what is going on countywide. Sandy feels she has benefitted greatly by the LMC’s motivational speakers, has learned to focus on team building and the importance of involvement to further the growth of our county.

A personal mentor and someone who has influenced her leadership development is Jim Doutt, former Executive Director of Medina County Economic Development Corporation. A proven leader, he encouraged her involvement with LMC. Jim’s words of wisdom reflect his leadership style…. “A dedicated leader is one who is willing to do 90% of the work to accomplish a goal yet be willing to give away 100% of the credit.” “Always know the difference between a dream and a plan; the dream needs a plan to become a reality.”

A quote from Mark Twain that inspires her is “Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.”
