Mari, a graduate of the Class of 2008, is serving her second term on the board and presently holds the office of Vice President of Alumni. One of the duties of this office is chairing the Breakfast Out & About Committee that arranges for two to three events a year allowing alumni to visit various locations of interest around the county to network, tour the facilities and learn about the businesses. Mari also serves on the Board of Directors of the Medina County YWCA.

A retired Superintendent of the Cloverleaf Local School District, Mari is the owner of Vintage Vanities Antiques which deals in antique jewelry. In this capacity, she spends much of her time traveling to shows and events in other parts of the country. Her hobby is studying the history of jewelry and gemology. If you have antique jewelry to sell, are in the market to buy or would like an appraisal done, Mari is the person to call.

To become familiar with the infrastructure of a valuable community organization was her personal reason for serving the board of Leadership Medina County. Her involvement with LMC has enriched her life by allowing her to come to know so many community members, and to admire the intense civic energy that is in the county. Mari credits her mother as being her mentor and the person who most influenced her leadership development.

Mari lived in Granger with her husband Ted. Her family also includes their son Michael and daughter-in-law Celia. Her personal advice is “Personal good luck comes from hard work.”
